kid(s) half the sale price will hold your kid of choice till arranged pick up or until weaned
.
The balance is due upon pick up in cash only! All Deposits are non-refundable. Deposits are transferred to future breedings if desired kid is not available. If buyer backs out after deposits are received and or during the wait of transfers, than buyer understands that any and all deposits will not be refunded. In the event that buyer neglects in communicating / showing disrespect to breeder, or neglects payment due for kid(s), cancels, backs out, doesn't show up on date of pickup etc, all money/deposits will automatically be forfeited and breeder reserves the right to re-list the kid for sale and re-home it. We do not offer shipping.

Hobbits with Hooves reserves the right to retain any kid from any breeding at any time.

Bottle Raised Kids: Occasionally, we will have bottle kids/bums available for sale. Nigerians often have several kids in a litter so if there are too many kids for the doe to care for and/or feed, we will generally put them up for availability for bottle feeding pet prospects. We have had as many as 4/5 kids in a litter at one time!  If you are knowledgable with bottle raising and would like to take the kid straight off the dam to train yourself, we will sell you a kid to bottle feed. The benefit to this is you can easily make them into super friendly pets for those that are strictly wanting them as pet/companions. Kids will need to be bottle fed until at least 8 weeks old, but it's usually beneficial to wait and wean until 9-12 weeks. Always have hay and minerals available for them to nibble on so they can get used to it and will be eating well and ready to wean at the appropriate age. By weaning age, they should be eating hay successfully. Bottle raising kids is a time consuming commitment, but can also be very fun and rewarding.

Do your research prior to taking on bottle kids and have everything well prepared before purchasing one!!!

Weaned/Dam raised kids will have first CD&T vaccination, dewormed and dis-budded. All buck and doe kids (unless sold and/or listed as Wethers/Bums/Non registered kids) come with their ADGA registration. We choose our kids registered names, unless you want to suggest a name that happens to fit, if so let us know right away.

****Please note! Goats are herd animals, they are super social animals and need at least one other companion to thrive. Please do your homework before deciding to get a Nigerian Dwarf Goat!***

Milk Replacer: We do NOT recommend "Save-a-Kid Products" brand or any other milk replacer from this brand!

If possible we highly recommend raw goats milk from a trusted source for bottle babies. Can freezer stash and unthaw at room temp, store in the refrigerator until ready to feed them in the bottle - warm up milk to hundred degrees Fahrenheit. Recommend colostrum replacer if the baby was not able to receive it. If raw goats milk is not available  - can feed grass fed whole cows milk from the grocery store. If grass fed whole milk in not available at the local grocery store, regular whole milk (red cap) is also a good choice. Below is  recommendation link that others have tried that have had success with on milk replacers.

#1 choice: Shepherd's Choice Goat Kid Milk Replacer
Shepherd's Choice Premium Colostrum Replacer
MannaPro Kid Milk Replacer
Land O Lakes medicated milk replacer
Goats 101
Nigerian Dwarf Goats Video
Pritchard Nipple
For pickier kids we recommend Dr Browns nipples
The Goat Shop
Molly's Herbals
Lots of Goat Information
